Walmart has an extensive variety of hair care products for every hair type, but it wasn't seen as a go-to shopping destination. Plus, the process of creating a hair routine can be overwhelming. To make it easier for shoppers to find the right products, we created a digital discovery experience, supported by influencers, to help simplify the process and reduce the stress of building a hair care routine.
Data-backed strategy informed all communication and design decisions to position Walmart as a year-round style destination in hair care. This approach provided inspiration, removed the guesswork, and offered product recommendations based on hair type. Influencers helped drive engagement and momentum, while a quiz guided shoppers to the right products. Digital media and influencer videos directed shoppers to Walmart.com, where they could easily find exactly what they needed.
